So my username has it's origins from the time trials in the old Crash Bandicoot games. Since you can only put three characters into the high score, I put in my initials. I then started using it to name my secondary save files in the Crash games and at some point an s was added as it flowed better Once I entered my teens my dad made an email address for me and used that as my handle and since then I just stuck with it

My name came about because I was a 20 year old nerd that thought he was being cool & clever. I am now a (almost) 32 year old nerd, who doesn't think it's cool or clever.

My little brother loves the Powerpuff Girls (especially Bubbles), and he was at an age when it was okay to have a crush on her. Nowadays, it’s weird having the username be “bubbles is hot 46853”, so we got rid of that last bit. And the number is from the SpongeBob episode “Patty Hype”.

originally it was "gameboyawesome" because i love the gameboy advance and wanted something that abbrieviated to GBA, but when that username was taken on a few sites I had to come up with something new. I wanted to use "gameboyamazing" and then I remembered a line from one of my favorite bits of dialogue from a video game: the scene in Kid Icarus Uprising chapter 7, where Thanatos (formerly Tanatos) reintroduces himself with "Actually, I go by Thanatos now. Got two of them. NachtKaiser (lit. Night Emperor in German) is a nickname I started using about 23 years ago. It's still my username on UA-cam, PSN and Steam because I'm too lazy to change it. I used it because edgy 15 years old goth kid. But I started using ZeichenMK2 for the past 8 years whenever I create a new account (including Twitch), which came from the last name I gave to an OC (hence the mark 2, the OC was the mark 1). I chose Zeichen (signs) based on the song 'Siehst du die Zeichen' by Weissglut. The song translate to 'do you see the signs', which was on the nose after I denied the signs of my trans identity for 30 years 😅

When Lan parties on Internet Cafe's were still a thing, the name "karui" was in there from someone else that used the computer before me and my child brain just thought "Yea thats cool" and adopted it for it for myself lmao. In the chance that the name is taken I go by karuiPrime which is from the naming convention in Warframe for better version of frames and weapons lol

From the first and only game of Ironclaw I played, I was a character named Orlen. I like the name. The name was taken, so I added a "y" to spice the name up a little.

playing Fate/Extra for the first time ever and I wanted a cool japanese name, and since i was young and kinda chuuni(edgy) i went with Magami (tentatively written at the time as 魔神) 魔 means demon/demonic/fiendish 神 means god(s)/divinity later then i felt that it was cringe, so i changed it to 真神 (still reads as Magami) which is written closer to a normal japanese name and feels a bit less cringey

So my name is Chloe, and in middle school, I watched several seasons of Doctor Who. Years before that, however, I came up with my own version of the "yo mama" joke, where I said "my face" instead. My name is a mixture of the Japanese words Okaeri which is basically "Welcome home" and Shimasu, which means "To do something" which I didn't actually know at the time. I turned it into Oak so that it would naturally be read in the correct sound, and then just placed it next to Shimasu. Tadaa, I was a weeb XD

My username, DancingDragoness, was one I came up with when I was a teenager on deviantArt. Oh yeah.... Oh yeah.... Must've been about 14 or 15 at the time. I was and still am really into DanceDanceRevolution. I also love games like Just Dance and enjoy rhythm games overall, but DDR is where it's ultimately at for me. I also was somewhat known for being a "good" dancer for a short while in late elementary and early middle school, but I'd say that's largely secondary here. (Also "good" is in quotes for a reason lol.) My first deviantArt username was DeviantArtDragoness cause I was 14 and couldn't think of a better one at the time of account creation. Then deviantArt made it so premium users could change their name and after posting that I wish I could change my name in a half joking manner, a good friend of mine gifted me a premium membership for a time. It was around that time that my brain came up with DancingDragoness and I liked it cause I thought it was catchy and you know what? I still think it's pretty catchy. A mouthful, but a catchy mouthful. Whether it was before I was able to change my name or something I conjured up the moment I was given the chance to change it, DancingDragoness happened and I've used it ever since. And where I can't use DancingDragoness, I use a derived name like DancingRyuu or DDSmols (which has a story of its own, but I think this comment is long enough. XD) TL;DR DDR nerd came up with name as teenager to replace original cringy deviantArt name she also came up with as teenager.
